FASTag Services

FASTag is an Electronic Toll Collection system introduced by NHAI(National Highway Authority of India). It operates on RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) Technology to make toll payments from your bank account. This FASTag is advised to affix on the middle-top portion of the windshield so that the toll plaza can scan your FASTag and deduct the required charges from your bank balance. Minister of Road Transport and Highway announced that all the public and private vehicles are required to install FASTag cards by 15th January 2020.

Working Of FASTag

1. FASTag is based on RFID technology, so at the toll plaza, these are scanned by scanners when passed by.
2. This FASTag is supposed to be affixed on the top of the windshield to be scanned properly.
3. When you pass through a FASTag enabled toll plaza you do not need to stop your car at that plaza, the transaction will occur automatically after you pass.
4. It is essential to link your E-Wallet or your bank account with FASTag so that the toll fee payment can be done automatically.

How to get a FASTag Card?

1. NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) has sanctioned 22 banks of India to provide FASTag cards to every individual. Along with banks, NHAI Plazas, Petrol Filling Stations, CSPs, Transport Hubs also provide FASTag cards to the customers.
2. You can register your FASTag cards at any bank official website.
3. Several digital brands like Amazon and Paytm also provide cards online for customers.

Recharge your FASTag Cards

If a FASTag card is linked with your bank account then there is no need for a recharge, but make sure your bank balance is sufficient enough to meet the minimum toll fee.
